just received my front bushing kit from ulmer racing. I plan on starting the install this week, A arms are out for powder coating. Just wondering if anyone is greasing or using oil on these bushing when they are installing them. I was under the impression they are impregnated with oil and the oil comes out as they pivot and move. I work in the hvac industry and as a rule, we never oil or grease bushings. Over the years i have found oil actually attracts dirt and causes premature wear on the bushings. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks out their.

A thin film of grease on everything when installing will not hurt anything. It will make it easier to slide all parts together.

Personally, I like silcone spray here. We often get a melt and puddles which get muddy. Grease draws and holds dirt.

I just ordered a set of bushings from pioneer. Not sure about the ones you recieved but the ones I am getting are made out of a material called Nylatron and is self lubricating. Adding grease to these therefore would not help. See what yours are made out of.
