I have just installed a header from ulmer and it fit perfectly and looks great the sled has a deeper tone now. While installing it I did notice a few loose rivites and some were actually missing never installed around my heat shield which was also cracked. So if anyone has there tank off check your rivites in the tunnel around the header and the big black brace from the handlebars to the tunnel.

Rivets missing on one side of the brace is normal, or you can't take the brace off to remove the tank.on the black brace that goes from the steering post to the tunnel and the bottom part of the heat shield that is riveted to the tunnel

Small rivnut and screw would allow removal. I haven't looked at mine yet.

Hey Jeff.
You stated the exhaust has a deeper tone. Do you have a stock muffler of aftermarket.
I have the MBRP can and after I installed the Straightline header I thought my exhaust tone sounded throatier. Sounds sweet.

I have had a chance to try yet we don't have much for snow conditions I will report when I can test . I also have picked up the ignition module so I can increase the rev limiter and advance the timing

I'll report when I get a chance to ride.Any power gains ?? More rpms ? What did you see thanks
I just installed the header a couple of weeks ago and just ran the sled on my stand in the shop.
I added more weight to my clutch weights assuming a power increase. I'll compare my RPMs to last years set up.
