Anyone with this kit??
Do the windage plates cause for more belt blow outs? Heat?
Do you loose considerable bottom end with the taller gearing?? Or does the clutching for the most part make up for that and the end result is similar low end grunt with more top end?
Any help would be appreciated. The sled feels like it can handle the gearing change for sure. But I'd like some feedback from riders that have used the kit.
Thanks all.

I have this kit, I kept the top gear and the modifications to the primary but took off the shims and went back to the stock helix and spring on the secondary, now it seems good. pulls like stock down low, quick in the mid and in good conditions I can hit 112 mph on top. (also have excell exhaust with it)

Thanks for the reply.
What was it like with it all installed as per the ulmer kit??
Any one with just the clutch kit?? I won't be changing the exhaust because I like the fact that the sled is quiet.

When I first tried it it seemed much stronger off the line but I quickly came to the realization that it only seemed that way because it hooked up better with the less grunt down low. The main guy I run with has the apex and when we tested the full set up side by side over and over he pulled me off the line I made up a little in the mid and he slowly walked away at the top end. After changing the secondary I consistantly pull him off the line and in the mid and he catches on the top and slowly walks away, this is usually after about a mile or so, the Lake we are on is 6 miles long. Hope that helps....

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. So I should just get the primary stuff and drop the secondary stuff.
