I have never had the problem I just read it on one of the other forums
some guys wash the belt and clean the sheves with scotch brite . Some of the guys on the two stroke fourums have some great ideas .

I'll give it a shot, I have 2 smoked belts from the parking brake,and have no wife. I'll let you know. NOt to mention the washer isn't mine.

Well the washing machine worked for one belt but not the other. The other was really noticable what was wrong with it after the rubber dust was gone. I really wore some grooves in it trying to get it off the trailer with the parking brake on. But no more studder from the first parking brake belt.

At least I feel a little bit better knowing I'm not the only one that smoked their belt by leaving the parking brake on.
I sure felt like a dumbass though, still do when ever I think about it. Oh well, live and learn.

This has been an important string. I never would have thought this problem could have been caused by the belt. Good to know.
