Due to low snow total as of this date down by Marathon and the fact that our ride guide(DAVE) has to work Friday and Saturday, we have moved the ride. We will now be riding out of Mapledale from the Bowling alley each morning at 9:30 AM. The dates are Wed. Jan21st - Sat. Jan24th. Feel free to stay an extra day and ride on Sunday if tou want. Be there or be square! Mapledale is about 10 miles North of Utica on Rt.12 North. Easy to get to, exit 31 off the Thruway. A good clean reasonable (NOT FANCY) place to stay is: The Budget Inn also in Mapledale just about across the road from the bowling alley where we will be starting our rides from. The Bowling alley also has a good breakfast. The Address of Budget Inn: 8186 Rt. 12 Barneveld, NY 13304. Telephone # 315-896-2613. Come for all days or just a couple, or even one if you can. We ride at a moderate clip, usually only stopping for lunch, and sometimes Dinner if we are not back by Dinner time. If Honk is along he has to stop in mid afternoon for a Captain & Coke. Usual ride is probably about 160-200 miles a day only because I like to take it easy on you greenhorns. Actually I can't make it Wed. but Steve or dave know enough of the trails to be dangerous, but will get you back saftly. If you are planning on going please post what days you are going to ride so we can get an idea how many are riding. In the past we have had days with 23 riders, or others with only 4. Hope to see a good turn out for this ride. We will ride in a diffrent direction every day. See you soon. Any questions you can PM me or give me a call at 315-827-4802 :4STroke:

Sounds good Gordon! I will be at my sisters in watertown, then travel down tues. Meet ya'll weds morning. Thanks again for settin this up Gordon!!

See ya then! Honk

NY AttakGT checkin in Weds morning at Adirondack Lanes (9:30 sharp!!) and checking out Friday or Saturday after riding.

We'll miss ya on the ride on Wednesday BBW. Look forward to riding with you on Thursday. Myself, RX1-Man, and Honk will take good care of the "greenhorns" in your absense. Well get em nice and warmed up for you.

It looks as though I can ride Wed. and Thurs. No time limit on when I get back Wed. but Thurs. I'd like to be back to the truck by dark. Have to drive to Syracuse to work all night :o| If you can Gordon, let us know where you might ride Thursday so we don't duplicate it on Wed. Sorry you won't be there that day to provide the great leadership we've come to enjoy ;)!

My forecast for our ride. Wed. 21- partky sunny high-15; Thurs, 22- light snow high-24; Fri. 23- snowshowers, high-27; Sat. 24, snow, high-32. Looks good, No warm temperatures between now and the ride.

Looking to join on Wednesday and Thursday along with my "hometown boys". As long as I get clearance from the boss......I'll be there. Looking forward to it!

:yam:

I went out for a short 152 mile ride today. Trails were perfect. Have never ridden trails as perfect as they were today, and everyone was perfect. I think I hit the pinnacle of snowmobiling today. Trails were better then I have ever seen before, even in Canada. After today maybe I should live off this high and never snowmobile again. Hopefully most of the trails next week for our ride will be close to what I had today. :jump: :jump: :jump: BBW

Thinking since there is good snow all over, we might head towards Morrisville or maybe do a loop around Oneida Lake on Wednesday. I've never ridden some of the trails on the south side of the lake. Open to any other ride areas someone may want to try.

Suuuuuuuureeee. Rub it in Gordon!! Pretty nice to be able to ride ride out your front door. Glad you found some good trails. Just hope you left some snow for the rest of us TY'ers. trails should be set up nice for our ride. Lots of snow falling up north today, as I heard. Even west towards Altmar and Pulaski....which means we can do the run to Lake Ontario on Thurs or Friday.

Pretty much looks like we have good snow in every direction, north, south, east, and west. So they'll be plenty of riding and new areas we can hit.

I'll be rolling into Barneveld around 8-8:30am on Wednesday morning. Staying for the duration (Weds-Sat). Look forward to riding with my TY bretherin again.
