good day
Last night I went for a ride and my upper ball joint bolt/nut came loose (on the right side)
this happened last year, so i bought a new bolt and nut, but I'm still having the same issue.
so I checked my brothers 2009 xtx and same thing. Both our right sides were loose and left was still tight
could my ball joint be shot causing this to come loose? or is there something I'm missing
Thanks

Ok use red and torque it down. It should hold much better, make sure the bolt threads are clean also

Yeah that's weird, I've seen both sides come loose. How does your spindle look?

I've had the same problem. It egged out the hole in the spindle a little but the red loctite has prevented it from happening again. All the Yamaha bolts with the clip style locknuts have issues especially if they have been apart. Always use loctite when reassembling them. Another option is to replace the nuts with a nylon locking nut.

that's funny case i bought the sled and right spindle top bolt hole was "egged out" and i thought the loose bolt/nut caused that. So I got my worked to weld it up and re-drill the hole....makes sense now...I'm gonna pick up a nylock nut....any idea on pitch/thread size?
