2 of the 3 07 phazer's we have, the upper 2 idler wheels have flat spots but they do rotate, my dealer told me that the wheels are frozen from all the ice build up, then they break free. just wondering what everyone else is doing if anything, thanks

The ones at rear I just replaced bearings this year. The other ones were changed to rubber with the 08 update kit.

i had the update and i still have flat spotted wheels - looked for an anternative after market wheel and it does not exist because of the 30mm shaft the bearing rides on. i'm replacing the bearings (6006 2rs) and running them like they are.

i just noticed the same flat spot on mine, its an 07 with 8000 miles, wonder if they are going to cover it,my 3 year warranty ends this november
The sad truth is you need to check your suspension every time before you go ride and make sure wheels are moving freely. And bang all the ice out. This will happen to any sled if you neglect it. As for a better wheel, look at it this way if it wasn't plastic it could have worn holes in your track! Consider yourself lucky your not having to buy a new Track. I don't think you can blame this one on YAMAHA.
