I was on the fence about trading in my Nytro for a viper but, for the time being, I've decided to Turbo it instead. I have a chance to buy a used MCX 190 kit, has about 1800 miles on it, all complete, was removed from a Nytro, it was originally installed at the dealer. From my searching, I've found that the MCX is a pretty reliable unit, with a fairly easy set up. How is 1800 miles on a Turbo? They have a good life span? I've printed the directions from their website and the install doesn't look too bad.

Yeah I asked him a couple of times just to make sure, didn't want to realize the hard way that I'll need something midway through the install

My friend has 20k+ miles on his MCX nytro. Still runs perfect.
MCX uses a turbo from a saab something or other, and volvo too. It should be good for a few 100k. lol. Should outlast the sled.
Just make sure you run some gauges, boost and a/f just to make sure everything is in line.

If you have questions call Mark Leipheimer in Butte MT. I bought a used MCX270 kit for my XF7000 Cat. Had to purchase head shim from Mark. He was very willing to help me out. His business is Leipheimer Yamaha and he is the US dealer for MCX. Just google it.
