Looking at a used 07 venture lite in my local craigslist area. Was wondering what these sleds go for used since I usually don't pay much attention to them. Not familiar with them at all but thought this would be perfect for my wife and when our 2 boys are old enough to ride. The listing says it's an 07 venture lite with 100 miles on it for $6000 firm. To me that seems extremely high for the year regardless of the miles. I am not sure but I think the owner thinks they can get more than what's it is worth because of the extremely low miles. It looks like brand new, right off the show room from the pics. What's it really worth?

The thing about buying the 07 is that there's some updates that need to be done if he didn't do it. Lots written on here about that. The price does seem a bit high for the USA considering these sleds need some upgrade work, especially better skis, to make them ride better.

I would assume these updates are similar to the 07 phazer updates? I would also assume based on what the owner used this VL for and the incredibly low miles that it doesn't have any updates done. I think even if I asked I bet the owner would have no idea what I am talking about.

Yep the Phazer updates would apply for the most part, and I would think your other assumptions are good as well.

According to the owner, it was only used to make trails on their property for cross country skiing. Expensive trail maker if u ask me. Lol

I think that is on the high side for the US. This one was found for $3250 with 2500 miles:

And this Canadian one with only 3KM (yes, three kilometers) for $6000

Used is used, no matter the mileage. Water gets in the skid and wheels so stuff will still rust regardless. Steering might still be loose from being turned often at low speed. Sure the engine will be like new but what about the rest?

I recently bought my 2007 MP for $4000 with 5000km on it. Other than this random broken bolt of mine it is otherwise in good shape. Plus Yukon prices tend to be on the higher side since we're far away with less selection.

I sold my 07 that was mint for $4000 w 2000ish miles last fall. I think that is a little steep....

Yeah I figured it was about 2000-2500 off what it should be. Not going to bother. No way they will drop that much. They will never sell it with that price.
