I need to replace the clutch on my '05 vector due to worn sheaves. I am leaning towards buying a used clutch and then just swapping my old weights, rollers and spring. So, what other Yamaha clutches have the same sheaves? Will 2 stroke clutches work? There are plenty of those available. I've compared part numbers and the only differences are the 2 letters in the part number. Anyone have a good used clutch for sale?

Make sure that your weights are smooth and don't have any grooves worn into them.
People have said that Polaris clutches work well on Yami 4S's. There's a guy on this site that specializes in this. Search for him. When I have to replace my clutch, that's the way I'm going to go.

Thanks. I'm considering all options. However, I'm pretty satisfied with the clutching I have and consider this the easiest and cheapest solution. My weights and rollers are good. If I can find a used clutch with good sheaves, I can save a lot of dealer labor vs. paying them to replace my sheaves. I don't have the grunt tool to separate my clutch. Just need to know which Yamaha clutches will work.

I also would use a polaris or arctic cat clutch, (prefer poo) The yamaha clutch isn't as good as it should be for what you have to pay for parts. My 05 vector actually has a cat clutch now and i love it. much better than stock.

Thanks for the feedback. However, I would still like to know what Yamaha clutches I can use. Does any know?? Please do not respond with the suggestion to use an alternate clutch.

when i was exploring options, the basic rule of thumb (surely not all inclusive) was four strokes are basically the same, and two strokes are basically the same, but not interchangeable.
