I am fortunate and picked up my new VIPER LTX SE on Wednesday. It came with 4" carbides. I have heard that the Cat 4' staggered carbides work great on the Cats. D&D recommends the Stud Boy Dually's. I fear that with a 137" track that 4" carbides just will not be adequate to keep the front planted. Does anyone have any real world experience yet? Ultimately, the goal is have more than enough front end bite without having extremely hard steering. I have the Snow Trackers on two of my 4 other sleds and they work great! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane

I have the IceClaw on mine. I am wondering if 6" will be too heavy in the steering the department without studs.

I'd say without studs 6" would be overkill. I have 160 1.5" studs that's why I went with 6"

I am trying a set of Simmons with 2 8" Carbides on each this worked well on my RX's I am thinking with the nose of this sled being light I will need the extra bite I bought 400 of the screw in stud points I am going to start with 200 of them on the XTX. These things are great 200 do not even weigh a pound.

We did ride we left around 10 and ditch banged for two hours! The snow was pretty deep in the ditch and big drifts! Ask Tim! lol The rain/snow mix and now the cold is setting up a sweet base. More snow coming on Sunday hopefully its allot so the trails can open.
