VIPER Carbides

i got my saddlebags ready I want to make a ride from there to copper harbor and camp. I figure 1 day full riding to get up around 77 by hayword then over to clam lake and up to Mellen then clear sailing North.

As close as I can tell its 365 miles each way. Should be ready for oil change on the way down to Pats in Greenland. I need to figure out the tail maps for the GPS and get them loaded.

8 inch on c&a XTX skis. 1.6 lug track and 190+ hp baby!!

Oh heck no...I just hang on around the corners....brake throttle you know somehow I usually get around with out studs.

"somehow" nice - (what eyes wide shut)?

I am going to ride first then put the screw in studs in to see the diff.

Ya forget studs...to much work and they never last. For me anyway. But I did get the ice ripper track.

Dealer recommended 6" woody's trailblazer carbides with 144 studs. Said that the arctic cats with this skid don't have darting issues.

Well what I think they come with a regular 4 inch carbide and then further down about an inch or two apart they have like a 3 inch weld. Almost like a dual carbide except staggered and a weld in place of a carbide.

I bought 6 inch woodys slim jims. The demo Arctic Cats that I came accross last year had them installed (I was told). I thought the worked amazing.

The wife has a 2007 F8 and I put the 6" slim jims on that sled (although dif chassis but I think the same ski?) and they work well. Easy/light steering effort with zero darting and provide good bite in the corners.
