I have a 2015 xtx viper with a boost it turbo kit running around 270 hp , was running a 47 degree helix with secondary purple epi 0/1 , b brown b primary and was blowing belts every 50-100 miles and hitting rev limiter at start , running dyta 2 weights , also geared 24/41 will be gearing back to 21/41.

Also have a 43 degree helix and 51/43 helix , red dalton secondary spring and will be switching to super tip weights.

Any recommendation on how to stop belt problems ? helix and secondary spring wrap ?

Woooo that's lots of power.
I think the basics need to be perfect to keep belt life with that power. Check the clutch alignment ( needs to be right on). Are you running the 8dn?

Rev limiter all the time is not good. Get the revs down by adjusting weights.

I'm sure you've looked but the washer behind the clutch is still there. I've seen that go missing by accident. And it was belt blow city.

When mine was first pushed to 235 and 265 on the switch I was riding with 3 spare belts and sometimes did not know if I would make it back. 100 miles was max. I then took the sled to Allen Ulmer and he threw away the Hauck clutch kit and overdrive sheave. He then machined the secondary to prevent bind and to achieve full shift out. He then machined both sheaves for overdrive. Hauck only machines 1 side which causes an offset in the belt with that much power twists the belt. He then installed his clutch kit and I think I am running close to 98 gram arm weights.

When I got the sled back I ran 1300 miles on the gates carbon fiber belt setup 8 dn match. I only changed to the next 1 when I went to a drag race and wanted to make sure there was no slip and after 2500 miles I have not blown a belt again.

I also having similar problems as you. I was just told by ulmer to gear up to 24/49 from 21 wondering why your goin back down? Can't get enough weight in the primary to get it off the rev limiter it seems.
