Anyone going up to ride the new Viper this weekend? I'll be there tomorrow, possibly Sunday.

I'll be there about 1-130 tomorrow. Sunday I'll be in waushara country for the last ride of the year for me

Will be there on Sunday

Kind of a lame demo ride, It literally was about 2 minutes worth if riding. Sure you could stand in line again, but for a 2 minute ride, no thanks. Anyway very hard to get a good feel for the sled in that short of time. I rode the RTX XTX and the 128" and prefered the 141" but really hard to compare only having a minute on both. Only 3 were running with one they parked and removed all the panels. Great lookin sleds, but man the side panels were filthy with belt dust and other debris. It was consistent on each one and on both sides. The sled without panels had belt dust everywhere in the clutch compartment. Of course they made mention that the sleds were prototypes and clutching and fuel delivery specs were in development so I understand why there could be so much belt dust. I will say the sleds need major help in those 2 areas, they felt lazy. I got off them saying they are in desperate need of proper clutch calibrations. Sleds look great, riding position is best in business, seemed to handle well, transition from sitting to standing is effortless. Some have complained about the controls but I like them. Love the bars and didnt mind the gauges, although they really don't stand out and almost forget they are there. I think Yamaha will sell lots of them.

I went also and found it to be very helpfull. The 129 was reallt squirrely. I got to ride the 137 three times before it went buy buy. And rode the 141. The 141 had alot of push. The track was better then previous years. Didnt like the power steering on the vector. So after so many rides i will snowcheck a red viper ltx se tomorrow. Yahooooo!!!!!

I noticed the belt dust all over the engine compartment on the units at the GR show also......Also keep in mind that this chassis uses a shorter belt than the 8dn. Hopefully they will be as reasonably priced.

Nope !! The rep told me it will be a bit shorter.....the old one will get you out if you blow a belt ...and same price!!!!!!!
