Ok I just installed my AFR gauge and going to move air intake through the hood. I am picking up some aluminum tubing tomorrow but does it fit through the black vent in the hood? Do you remove the vent in the hood? drill it out? or does the hood need to be notched to make it fit? Looking for some good close up pics but don't see any?

I assume the intake must be removed through the side panel before hood removal also?

There really is no right or wrong way, its all in how you want to make it look, it will fit if you just cut through the black vent, but i didn't like the angle that it put the silicone elbow at, so i carefully notched the hood too, I'm going to have mine off today, I'll take some pics.

Ok thanks Murdered I went at it and got her done! Looks good, the hood cuts clean up real nice. Thanks

Did AFR #’s change?? I want to this but I don’t have gauges. I had Ulmer lean my sled out and I’m afraid to lean it any more.

not sure what the benefits are by doing that but I guess if you want to show everyone you have a turbo that's one way to do it. ;)!

I want to do it to get the intake away from the clutch dust and mpi recommends going through the hood if you even ride off trail and sometime my LTX believes it’s a XTX

That 180 turbo kit is 165 at best if running the quiet muffler and intake on top of the clutch guard, sucking hot and dirty belt dust air, anything that lets more cooler air helps a lot, mine with the light weight muffler, SLP header and intake through hood runs better than stock sidewinder.

Same here, ran against a few of them last year and from a dead stop to 115 they were always 1-5 lengths behind me. Could have been more if I adjusted the skid to hold the skis down and not lift 12-24" on take off..
