Had somebody check the front skid shock and it came back as 2704-639 which would have spring 1704-236 in it which is 110 pounds. That is the same spring that came in the XTX, and the same spring I took out of my converted XTX. I suspect when you ride it you will feel heavier than wanted steering (hard turning on snow at slow speed or stopped).
I fixed mine by putting the same spring that is on most cats which is a 1704-461 which is 135 pounds. You can take the top shock bolt out and lay shock back and change spring without removing shock. Took me about 15 minutes to do and WOW is it better now. Light steering and moves like my 2014 M8 did now. I strongly suggest this mod.

The XF7000, M8000 and M9000 shows using 1704-236 on the 'fiche. Which model did you notice used the 135# spring?
My LE has a heavy steering feel, but couldn't tell if it was the hard crusty snow, aggressive skis, bars lil too far forward, or all the above!
EDIT:
Looks like the ZR9000 uses the 135# spring. The Bearcat Z1 sled uses a 140# spring!

Does the MTX not have a longer center shock though?

Try the 135 pound spring I think you will be pleased.

Length isn't going to help with spring rate. I had to run my adjuster up to 3/4 of the way up to get it light enough on the front and then you get spring bind. You may be happy with the heavy steering feel if so by all means run it that way. I prefer the M8 light feel.

Thanks for the info Stingray. I might even try to find a heavier spring rate sense I'm a bit of a fat azz

135 seemed to really balance it out for me but run what works best for you.

Ive heard some people running up to 160# springs. Anyone got an article number for those or know which sleds run with it?

Does anyone know something about this A-C Shock?

Manufacturer or dimensions? Is it any good? Does it fit on Viper M-TX?
