I have got same issues with my 15 mtx 153,both insides of drivers worn from track clips ,bad vibration, track out of alignment by drivers yet rear of track alignment ok, antistab wheel bearings toast etc. Only 300 miles on it. Dealers can not find anything wrong or will not spend the time because Yamaha not paying them for warranty on something they will not acknowledge as a problem. I just went through all the posts from sidewinder mountain and sidewinder trail and did not see one issue of worn drivers, track alignment issues at drivers, rubbing of track inside tunnel, seems to be no issues that I can find posted with the winders but yet our vipers have the same skid as them(or much the same with the btx and mtx). Some with this issue have just given up trying to find a fix for this and running it like it is or have modified things to make it work.to me it is up to Yamaha to fix this not us but with no more viper mtx or btx long tracks being produced we are given the shaft the whole chassie is a mess steering track starter chain case no drain plug just to name a bit
But a better skid shock , 4 wheel kit and tightening the rear sissor linkage helps. My clips are not eating the driver's and the track is not rubbing on the inside off the tunnel that I can see or feel so far
