I just managed to get a hold of a rear viper shock and want to adjust it to replace the steel rear one on our RX-1 shortys. Can anyone tell me if I have to change the pressure setting or piston float calibration on it and what would it be for 210lbs rider. :( :( :(

i TO HAVE THE 02 VIPER REAR SHOCK IN MINE GREAT IMPROVMENT! I have had pioneer performance do mine. No complaints! HONK

The only change, if required, would be the valving. I have no idea of the different configuration of the shim stacks between the RX Stock and the Viper shocks. One way would be to dis-assemble the stock shock, record the configuration of the shim stacks and copy the same onto the viper shock.

This is of course if your familiar with rebuilding shocks. There is a lot of pressure in the shocks and taking them apart can be dangerous. I'd leave it to someone who provides this type of service.
