I have a chance to purchase a 2016 LTX-LE with the upgraded shock package and three years of warranty left. I am looking for a sled that rides like the Sidewinder, but without a turbo. Will this sled ride and perform handling wise like the SW? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ride and handling should be pretty much the same....it's mainly all the same chassis.

I have both and can say they ride the same.

Terry,

Thank you for getting back to me. I just wanted to be sure. I will go ahead and make the purchase. How do like the SW?

Love it! Best thing Yamaha could do was come out with a factory turbo. Plus, I love the pro-cross chassis :)

Best part is there are so many aftermarket parts and things to make the SW and Viper perform better if the owner wants to go that route.

Terry.. based on "known" issues during the viper run what years are the ones to be buying? I have been so focused with my beloved apex over the years and never really stayed on top of the vipers..... getting older and my type of riding is changing to more off trail and back country exploring around camp in the yoop! still want the good shock package model and for sure the longer track. give me your thoughts as I will be looking for the right sled! thanks !
