2014 sr viper xtx-se
I just picked up a 2015 ltx se from an repo auction for my wife.
Just got home and tried to start it, turns over good and gas in the tank but it won't start.
Still a full year of warranty but I don't want to bring it to the dealer if it's something simple.

Dont get mad at me here but is Kill switch hit? It's gotten me before.

All the fuses good?
Hear the fuel pump running at key on?
Are you sure someone didn't dump water or something in the gas tank?
All the plugs or connectors under the hood seam to be plugged in?
Nothing looks out of place or missing a home under the hood?

Check the plugs. If repoed it may have been started and shut off multiple times with out warm up.

I'd vote for kill switch.......these will turn over unlike older Yamaha's with switch down

Does the dash come on when key is on? Can you hear fuel pump run when key is turned on?

I Just got home with it tonight after dark I didn't take anything apart. Its not the kill switch and yes the fuel pump is running.
I will need to check the fuses and spark plugs and check everything under the hood.
The guy told me they had it running.

Yes maybe if plugs are fouled they will dry out overnight. Good luck!

I would bet plugs are fouled. They don't like to be started and stopped multiple times without riding it. Its happened to me with my 2014 and 2015

Good luck

Just took the plugs out they're soaked. Wife is picking me up some, it should fire up now.

If you want to try this while waiting for the plugs, charge the battery to make sure it's a full charge. Dry the plugs and give it another shot. My first battery had a bad cell and would turn over the motor but it would not start. That seemed strange to me, but after getting a warranty replacement battery and installing, it fires right up. I never changed the plugs and it starts fine now. The bad battery would charge full but the charger/analyzer indicated a bad cell. A weak charge, low cranking amps might produce the same results - crank but no start.

Changed the plugs and it started right up. Battery was also weak so Im going to call the dealer to get a replacement.
Ill syhpon out the gas and throw in the wifes SUV I dont think my cummins would like it.

Was it a steal or a buy??
