walked out of the mountains this AM!!! i need info

i also would guess it is in the chaincase. I have had to pull sleds out in 3+ feet of powder. It sucks, but can be done.

Best bet would be to fix it up there if possible.

good luck

If the drivers/driveshaft arent broke, then is the chain/gears. You said that you turned the secondary clutch, & the rotor turns. So that gets rid of the jackshaft being broken. Also said that didnt see oil, maybe the inner seal let go? You will need a 36mm really deep socket to get the upper nut off, snap ring pilers, 12mm, 14mm sockets, 20 torx socket. I would take tube of grease, just incase there is ahole in the case. Grease up the chain, it will get you home. I been involved in towing sleds out of the hills, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Wrecking other peoples sleds, belts, timed wasted. I would 1st try to see whats wrong with it, try to fix it. If not then try towing it out. Good luck.
