ONWARD WITH PROJECT WARPEX (04 Warrior motor and components in 06 Apex chassis) only because I blew a hold in the Apex motor after overheat)
RX motor is mounted in the Apex chassis...all fit well and I am on a mission to finish the install of compenents from the RX to include carbs, wire harness, brain box, clutches, etc. I wanted to install the Yamaha fuel injection off of the apex but that would require more work than I have time for right now. One of the last BIG rides of the season leaves tomorrow.
HOWEVER, i do believe that the head off the apex will mount to the bottom end of the RX and I would be able to bypass the oil pressure switch. The reason for mounting the head would be for the cam position sensor, cams, and timing. THEN I would be able to use the Yamaha fuel injection, wire harness and brain box..etc.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......the crap we do just to sqweeze another ride in!!
I have read all technical updates since 05 and YES there is a lot of difference but not all that many. All engine specs match, just newer technology, and lighter material. Anyways, COOL HUH?

If that head mounts to the RX bottom half, you will still have your 150 hp motor.

The apex head will not work on the RX-1 motor.
