Finally figured it out, but better late than never. Here are some pictures of the tunnel protector extensions that I installed over the rear heat exchanger. NOte the damage to the heat exchanger. That was from no tunnel protectors over the rear and aggressive riding threw trails. Did not puncure any thing but I needed some extra for insurance.

wow you did an awsome job with that. Is that the Mountain Cooler on a 136 extension???

YES. THATS A MOUNTAIN COOLER ON MY WARRIOR. THE STUDS JUST BARRLY HIT BUT IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY DAMAGE I HAD TO CRANK THE REAR SHOCK TO HIGH AND I DID NOT LIKE THE RIDE. SO WHEN I SET IT TO THE STOCK SETTING IT WOULD HIT DURRING AGGRESSIVE RIDING. THE FLAT BAR I INSTALLED OVER THE TUNNEL PROTECTORS IS JUST ENOUGH TO AVOID ANY MISHAPS.

Looks good buddy. Now that I see the damage to your cooler it looks like I'm gonna be fabricating something too.

Don't have that kind of time. Took me too long just to make my own. Its not that bad though. Take a pice of 1"x1"tubeing , carve it out to fit around the heat exchanger. Mount 2 pices to the tunnel extension. run a piece of 3/16 BAR the entire length of existing tunnel protectors. Add 1/4" flat bar across entire length of tunnel protectors to tie it all together to the rear and Vooa La. Pardon my spelling. The protectors should be almost strait across from the front in one level. The rear of the stock protectors are, as you can see from the photos, curved up and you need to cut them to install the heat exchanger anyways. But with that extra flat bar on the protectors you can saffley run your studs in the ripsaw track and not worry about any damage underneath to the cooler .
If I might add one thing to that as I am doing mine as well. Make a template out of cardboard and duct tape till you have Excatly what you want then you can just trace it onto your bar stock and cut it out.Pasma works sweet.

Plasma cutter is sweet but I'm saving for my new pistons and rods next year. I used a grinder and a zip cut blade.

03's RX Mountains didn't have a Rear Heat Exchanger stock, does 04's or 05's now come with one?

TKS for the pics
I have done something similar. The only thing I worry about is the track grabbing the rails and sending them down the tunnel. If you look at where the track had to be for the studs to hit its going to rubbing hard on the new rails.

Why is it that long tracks tend to over heat more than short tracks?? That crossover tube can't have that much to do with cooling....does it?
