I put an Apex seat on my Warrior last season before I put it in storage. We got a little snow so I took my first spin around the yard with the new seat. It felt really high and I hope I made the right decision. For the guys that have some time on their RX's with the Apex seat what do you think? Is it tippy? Can you corner like you used to. Colder? Thanks for your responses.

I do not like the height of the seat or the seat at all on my Apex GT.
Too High, pushes me forward, Sled is tippy and creases like crazy.
And yes, you will be colder.
I much preferred the Warrior Seat and those on all my previous Yammies.
I really miss the slot car handling of my 3 v-max 700's and Warrior as well.
I just bought a leftover 07 Vector to get the lower seat and more traditional riding position.
I can see High narrow seats on Ditch banger and Mountain sleds but personally do not like them on trail sleds.
If I get another Apex, I will put a Vector or similar seat on it.

I was one of the first to make the change to the Nytro seat. It is the same height as the Apex but firmer. The change was THE best mod I have done to my Rage. I love the position. I thing it is easier to toss the sled around. The only down side is that since you are higher, you do catch more wind in the chest area which will make it a colder ride. There are a few guys who overcame this by installing a taller windshield. My Rage came with a "tall" w/s but there is 2 w/s that are higher that mine.
BTW I love the new position on the sled. I put almost 2000 miles on it last season with the new seat.

I also put a Nytro seat on my 05 RX1 and love it. I loosened up my handlebars and rolled them forward, which also pushes them up some. I found this to be a nice complement to the new seating position. I also agree that it is a little colder sitting up a little higher but I think it's worth it for the more natural, comfortable sitting position you end up with.
I appreciate the opinions, keep em coming. I'm feeling better about my decision

I also am very interested in what everyone who has done this will say. I worry also about the tippiness that might result, but I don't ride like Blair so I will just take the corners a little slower if I have to. The point of doing this was to get me into a better, more comfortable position for riding and transitioning to standing and getting my butt off the seat for the rough trails. As far as the cold problem. I've never, ever gotten cold riding. The right helmet, coat, gloves and layers has always kept me sweating no matter how cold it's been. I've had a pretty low windshield the last couple years and quite frankly couldn't tell the difference from the stock height.
