How much do the new 2005 RX-1's weigh?

Good question there has been a lot of discussion on this subject. None of us believe what Yamaha claims but I believe the consensus was somewhere between 35 and 50 lbs lighter than the 03 and 25 -40 lbs lighter than the 04. But thats just my take on it

apparently 26lbs lighter than the current one. That means 550 dry

Nobody knows and Yamaha ain't telling so any weight posted is pure speculation and a waste of time until someone gets it on a scale.

Here's one thread with some discussion on it thread was based on RS/RX comparison but some discussion as to the actual weight of the RX1 http://www.rx1.info/viewtopic.php?t=4381 Yamaha site claims 22 lbs numerous others claim 30 ?? a few more months and we'll know for sure. SoCo the 03 / 04 comparison was my assumption figured they had to shave off 5 - 10 lbs somewhere smaller battery etc...?

The '04 is lighter than the '03 by about 11lbs. It has the aluminum upper A-arms and lighter exhaust. Now the exhaust is lighter again with the use of Ti. I have heard that the '05 is 30lbs lighter than the '03 according to a Rep. So if you can get an accurate weight of a '03 you got your answer.
