Hey guys,

Im a little confused as to the adjustment on this suspension... Done some reading on here, tried to read some info on AC forums but cant really find anything or don't grasp it lol... Basically Id like to have some more weight transfer, pull the skis up in the air a little more off the line. Right now it seems to bite hard, then spin out, then bite again... Trail conditions were very hardpack/ice... Id like to get it similar to my SRX was where it would pull the skis about 4" in the air and keep them there... Any help on this is appreciated!

I have the LTX se, riding in Ontario Canada, trail riding for the most part

Seems to be a common need on the LTX's. Are your transfer blocks in #1? Limiters all the way out? Center shock spring about half way? Rear torsion springs on soft? Only time my SRX would pull the skis is when it hooked up. That was rare even with a ton of picks or clean ice.

I noticed same exact thing with my ltx..there is a thread started on here somewhere about it. All I did was removed the black plastic blocks that you can adjust on the transfer shaft and then put the shaft back in. Mine isn't a wheelie machine by no means but in most ways that is nice. Can still get the front end up but never have to worry about it coming up too. On a hard pack mine will launch and pull the skis a couple inches but never spins out now.

How do I adjust/remove the transfer blocks? Your talking the 2 black blocks at the rear that the arm comes back against? Sorry for the lack of knowlege just havnt dealt with this skid at all... Will check the limiters and shock and post back... and the torsion adjustment is the blocks that the springs rest on correct?

You are correct on all. The transfer blocks have numbers on the inside, kinda hard to see but they are there. Most transfer is #1, least #3. To take blocks out, pull the two bolts out of the shaft and take entire shaft out. Pull off blocks and reinstall shaft. Do not run without shaft reinstalled, it's there for structural rigidity of the suspension.

I have a RTX SE and it looks like there is only two different settings and I don't see any #'s on it

Look on the inside of the blocks, there are two 1's, 2 & 3. They aren't the easiest to see, and there isn't much difference between them. They are the same for Cat. I have a F1100 Turbo, and we have a couple Vipers on the floor with the same blocks.

Perfect! Thanks for the info! Will look into this and get post back with what settings I have!

I have rtx and pulled blocks on mine and feel the tranfer is much better. But comparing your srx with a 121in.track and your new viper ltx is like comparing apples to oranges. Two different animals dude. You have 136in of track hanging out the back honestly how much ski lift do you really think your gonna get???

No i dont think it did at all.

What about getting on the gas hard in the middle of a corner?

If more weight is transferring to the rear when on the gas it stands to reason that this will have an impact on the cornering characteristics of the sled.

It seems that with more transfer you will need more of a point and shoot riding style for corners unless you can adjust the suspension in other ways to keep weight on the skis... but then that kind of defeats the purpose of adding more transfer.

It seems like a compromise to me.

In theory it would make sense that by removing the blocks that you would have less ski pressure in the corners resulting in pushing thru corners. With mine removed if there was any change at all with less ski pressure it was minimal to the point that in my opinion it's not even worth mentioning..but for me I was looking for as much transfer as possible so I was very pleased with the results and feel it didn't sacrifice any ride characteristics..improved them if anything in my opinion
