I have been having an issue with starting my sled for about a week now. When I go to start it up it turns over once but it's like the battery doesn't have the juice to crank it. Have to cycle it a few times some times it cranks over but most the time nothing. Then it will just start like nothing was wrong. It doesn't happen when the motor is warm just when it's sat for a while or the first start of the day. Checked the battery ands it's okay thought maybe the starter cylinoid but when I jumped it with a screw driver it did the same thing. Anyone else have an issue like this or any idea what else to look for? I can get the sled to start up it just takes a while turning the key on and off until it finally turns over. Sled is an 09 nytro xtx.

If you jumped the starter relay and it acted the same it would point to the battery being low. If you measure the battery voltage is it 12.75VDC or greater?

If the battery is good and your starter relay/solenoid is good it kind of points to the starter next. Make sure all your connectoins are good first and if everything checks out you might have a bad starter.

Battery tested a little over 13 volts. I was hoping it's not the starter but I looks like that's what I have to check out next. All the connections are good nothing loose. Is there a way to test the starter with it still on the motor or just pull it out?

Voltage means nothing you need to do a load test on the battery. How old is it?

Battery was bought new beginning of the season. It's the gel type. Problem seems to have went away now was playing around with the wiring and relay when I put it back together now it starts up like normal. I'm guessing loose connection on the relay. Tried it again this morning and started up normally. Thank you for the replies

Try leaving the key in the on position for a minute or 2 before you turn it over..some of the light weight batteries need to warm up, thats why no problems for the rest of the day..
