Well guys decision will be made today.

I have never ridden the Gade, but did ride the 129 and 141 Vipers (they didn't have a 137 during the test rides where I was) and noticed that these sleds push in the corners ... More so with the 141. The Viper steering was light on both sleds, but even as easy as it was to turn the skis, the responsiveness was somewhat delayed ... skis don't dig in and bite right away IMO. Although this changes with faster wide sweeping turns.

If you're going to stay mostly on trail, and the trails are typically smooth where you ride, a short track sled is probably going to be the best fit. But I think a 137 is what I'd be looking at ... pretty hard to discern the difference in handling, but better hook-up, bump bridging, and floatation in deeper snow.

The question I'd like answered is how does the Doo 1200 motor compare to your experience on the Viper? Coming off the Nytro, I thought the Viper was a little timid. Although something to keep in mind is that from what I've been told (and this came directly from one of the reps at my test ride) that the Viper will get Cat's flashable ECU, so I'm sure there will be some aftermarket mapping available to wake it up.

Will know shortly OVR4D. I found that when I rode the Viper when it did start to push I grabbed a hand full of throttle and it stopped pushing, I pretty much dirt tracked it around the corners which I LOVED especially after coming from a Nytro. Our trails are really mixed they can be beautiful and they can be hammered to hell. Depends on the day. Kinda thinking 137 will be the best of both worlds as well but wish I could have ridden one. All the had in DL was the 129 and 141. Both were night and day better handling then my short track Nytro so its going to be a win win but I had allot more fun on that 129.

FYI, Tracks USA can cut a 16" Cobra down to a 15" for those of you who will be looking for better loose snow performance on the 137. Besides, what better track to have on a Viper than a Cobra? :)

How much different in the rails is the 129 to 137 the track is 8" longer but the rails are what maybe 4" or less?

I rode both and they felt the same ! With them side by side I couldn't tell the difference they looked the same!

After reading your last 4 post in a here, I was trying to figure out why and noticed you live in michagan

Just got back, big thanks to Gateway Powersports in Grand Forks for setting the whole thing up am really impressed with the extra effort he put in to give me the opportunity to ride one and the guy who let me take his baby out. I rode a 2011 Renegade 1200 Adrenaline tonight. Machine had about 3000 miles on it so it should have been broken in by that point. The chassis and power plant was butter smooth, never really ridden anything quite like it actually. Clutches enguaged really low, you honestly couldn't touch the throttle at all without it moving. I rode about 10-15 miles on groomed trails and off trail back and fourth in a drainage ditch. The chassis soaked up everything and pretty much isolated you from the trail. The guages were quite nice, almost automotive style. i found the ergonomics to be almost dated feeling compared to my Nytro even. Not sure if he had his riser adjusted goofy or what but it was uncomfortable to stand on for me and when I was sitting on it and turned sharp the bars hit my legs. In the corners it pushed and had some body roll to it. You could tell it was a big heavy four stroke under the hood, on the viper you could not. The seat was almost too soft for me and seemed short. Power wise it was a torque monster on the bottom end but seemed pretty flat up top to me. I held it on the bars for probably 3/4 mile and about 95 is all it would muster. 0-60 I would say it would be a good race with my Nytro but after that I think I would take it which is opposite of what I've read. I don't see this thing out running my Nytro up top but it could be interesting down low. That being said this thing is so so smooth I could see it being deceptively fast, might be quicker then i'm giving it credit for. Its a really nice sled with a almost unbelevable rear suspension and it didn't even have the R motion in it. Part of what I was feeling in the corners and in the ergonomics could have been setup but for me at least it doesnt have the fun factor the Viper had, not even close. I'm ordering the Viper and to be on the safe side I'm ordering the RTX SE because its the one I rode and liked the best at the demo. Was going with the 137 but after riding this Gade I'm not going that track length, handling is too important to me.
