For the guys that are disappointed with the power...wait until the mods are out...the Nytro motor with a header, intake mods and proper fuel mapping will easily bring the power up to 150+
UMM.. how is it that people always sluff off having to modify their damned sled from new as just an accepted thing? ei: 'Well power is down and it darts like mad, but nothing $1000.00 in fueling / intake / exhaust and a set of custom skiis can't fix.' Why is this accepted? If the stock skiis are crap, why do they make them? If it's capable of 150 horse, why aren't they from the factory? Why should a guy have to spend thousands on aftermarket parts to make a sled good? This should not be accepted as an industry standard.

You are right.....I have put so much money into this nytro to get it right its almost perfect.....then I rode the viper...wow!!! All it needs is studs and some fine tuning on suspension .....

Unless Yamaha came up with something the stock AC's dont have for skiis or carbide I whole heartedly disagree. They also stink of burned Hyfax all the time.We know what works on our Yamaha's.Want it stock for sure.Sure would like for someone to tell me Yamaha corrected the SIMPLE faults the ProCross chassis has.Would give me much more confidence that they corrected the more complicated issues.

Mighty, it's kind of hard to tell cause they keep everyone tight together and you never get to open it up, but as I was waiting in line and watching the others take off you would catch the guys with the doo coats putting a little space and getting the skis in the air. But yes plenty of motor for me but I'm more interested in ride quality anyway, then pure horsepower. I rode the short track too.
