ordered a few things...including 10 of those push and twist things that hold on the side panels and hood...$25 each for those things?? wtf?!? i told him to keep them...whats the deal is there anywhere else to get those??

Are you talking about the Dzus fastners? That's probably a fair price. That is what is used to hold the bodywork on my Ducati. Price em from Ducati and the Yamaha ones are a bargain. You can probably check Ebay, I have bought them on there before, but I think I paid $30/$40 for 10.

i just found some at yamahapart.com for $14.44 a piece but thats still $144 for 10...i dont know about you guys but i have lost a few of those things...i wanted to get 10 to have as spares in case i were to lose one on the trail...i have over $1000 in parts on their way and it kinda sucks to blow another couple hundred for fasteners...anyways i am still checking dzus site....its crazy...good find on that site btw

i lost one when i rolled over and ripped the windshield off and i lost another one the other day when i was getting under the hood....maybe im weird but mine fall out when the arent fastened

I'm thinkin' Yamaha is a F'n RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

wow that is the whole kit too...i just need the heads or the "fastener" part but thats probably even better in case the arent the right size...according to the dzus website there are quite a few different sizes

If you're using the side deflector kit and the plastic retainers? Expect to lose fasteners. I put the metal retainers on my deflector fasteners and I don't drop fasteners anymore.

Install a bigger trailtank...then you'll have 6 extra of those fasteners laying around after the install. :)
I can't believe they are that expensive...I'm gonna be more careful from now on.
