I have an 07 gt with 6500 miles on the original non rebuildable front shocks and was thinking about up grading to fox floats. Any opinions on what pressure I should run would be appreciated? I weigh about 205 lbs.
Or is there a better option??? Thanks.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing, so I can't tell you much about them. But if you are going to buy a set, check out Seattle Sports Plaza. Lowest price i've seen.

WeelI ran them at 75 and totaled my sled during a race. Then switched to 65 perfect!

i was worried about getting shocks put on a sled with 4300 miles lol,
i find it hard to buy shocks that are worth more than the sled is all.

marpolsdofer Do you bottom out at 65 psi or does the shock tend to really stiffen up and the bottom of the stroke? I know it kinds of depends on riding and what is your riding style?

Well I have been on three diffrent setting, for Xc racing. First was 75 and as most on this site know that I hit a fire hydrent. becaues my forty end was always bouncing around. After I got all new stuff the next race yam177 told me to go softer. I swtich it to 60 or 65 with the sled up in the air and kept it at the second hole on the limiter strap. I did not have any bottoming but I felt like it had a little more roll but got use to it, I only ran two races with that setting. This year I moved it at to 3rd hole and messered 65 on ground (opps) but I left it. So far no bottonming but I only have 10 miles on it this season, but it all seems good. I moved it to 75 for one of the snox tracks I went to mess around on last season after the crash.

I put a set of floats on my 07fx this year but i also bought the hygear big air canisters to go with them.. put 100miles on them over the weekend but the trail was super smooth, like no bumps over 6inches, yes it was quite boring.. so i cant tell you in they are better than the gytr's i took off.. i am running 70lbs of air pressure and weigh 210lbs... but again havent hit any bumps or jumps yet.

i did. not sure with results yet, haven't ridden until this coming weekend to find out.
i figure why not if they are more adjustable, maybe a little lighter, & soak up the bumps better.

i LOVE the floats on my rtx.
Thanks guys for your input Moving from the second hole to the 3rd hole on the limiter strap are you lowering or raising the front suspension?

well as the sled sit it just rasing the front half of the skid but barley. This will put a little more presser in the front, this wil also effect weight transfer.
