What Apex's are the same?

I am going to ask a pretty dumb question, but I need to confirm a few things. I just bought an extremely low mileage, completely stock 07 Apex GT to replace an aging Thundercat with 17,000 miles on it. I am not a drag racer and mainly ride big miles in Canada on multi day trips so all my accessories will be for touring. I want to confirm what years are exactly the same since the websites don't list accessories for any years earlier than 09. I believe all Apex's are the same from 06-10 other than track length, is this correct? Will saddlebags, tank bags or windshield bags from the next generation fit on an 06-10 Apex? I also want the tallest windshield I can get for this machine. From what I can find, the extra tall for an 06-10 Apex would be it. Is this correct? Thanks for any help with this. I am trying not to make any mistakes and have to buy something twice!

Hopefully Sasquatch will chime in he had his set up the way you want and he upgraded to a newer one so he would know what all will convert. most stuff will but not windshield and yes they are the same 6-10.

6-10 parts are interchangeable. So a '10 windshield will fit. Any year tank bag will work. Up to '10 Apex saddle bags will fit without issues. You may get away with '11 and newer but I can't confirm that one.

Everything but the windshield is similar enough to work. If you find bags for an 11 and up that are a good deal pick them up. They might not sit 100% perfect but you'll be fine.

I had an 07 attak traded up to an 11 xtx. Only thing that didn't work on the new one was windshields I had. Map bag, rack, saddle bags, handlebar bag, under hood bag all went on to the new sled just fine. Windshield bag I had to get an 11 and up one now that I think about it.

I believe all apex saddle bags, and tank bags from 06 to 17 will work on an 06 gt, the extra tall windshield will only work up to year 2010 apex and you have to add supports to the windshield which I believe you may still have to purchase them separate from the windshield and that windshield is one warm ride!
