Are those hollow or solid? Can't remember ever seeing anything like that on an Ape.Hi folks. Hoping someone can enlighten me as to what these 2 pins are, and/or where they go? Previous owner was chasing an oil leak... Thanks in advance.
Where did you find them?Hi folks. Hoping someone can enlighten me as to what these 2 pins are, and/or where they go? Previous owner was chasing an oil leak... Thanks in advance.
That connector would be for the AUX port that some models had.Along similar lines, (and hopefully this one is easier), does anyone know what this connector connects to?
He didn't by chance have the stator cover (ie. crankcase cover behind oil tank) off? They almost look like the two dowel pins that are used to align the stator/crankcase cover. That would also explain the two wear marks where they would have been inserted into the block.I bought this sled used from someone in my hometown and he had all the plastic covering, airbox, battery tray, oil tank ...out of the sled. He had a container with all these nuts/bolts/etc. and those 2 little buggers were in with all the other nuts/bolts
Ah. Thank you.
I don't know but I can try and find out. The seller said it had an oil leak "at the bottom of the engine". I inspected as best I could the hose between bottom of oil tank and front/base of engine. Couldn't see any contributing issue(s). Don't know if the PO did any of what you reference, but, my impression is that he was not a big wrencher - so thinking he did not have the stator cover off. Thanks though - it gives me something to ask him about. He didn't by chance have the stator cover (ie. crankcase cover behind oil tank) off? I'll checkJust a shot in the dark, they are not the hinge pins for the air box clips.
