Thinking of gettin a phazer for my wife .What are you guy getting for gas mileage on the phazer do you have to run Premium Unleaded in those . i see they say to on the yamaha site except for the gt, I dont understand why you dont in the gt

Right now averaging about 16-17 mpg on my FX. My wife is getting the same thing on her Nytro ER.

GT is a typo on the website. Maunal calls for premium.

You have to work hard to run Phazer at speed. Tippy in corners.
Blast to ride, excellent in the rough. But not a groomed trail high speed sled, glad I still have my Apex.

The GT doesn't seem to have that tippy in corners issue. But it's also set up more for trail use.

I have not checked the Mtn. Lite but I know its good on gas. I guess I have to measure more by gallons per hour. I do alot of off trail and the gage goes down very little. Sorry I can't give solid numbers but Fuel milage has not been a worry for Me.
Mileage has been around 18-20 on FX. Before totaling his last weekend a friend said he was getting around 22. He rode hard on and off, full throttle (guess thats why he recked) I dont know why he did better mileage than me. Maybe cause he had a thousand more miles?
I have a MTN. Lite and with stock gearing 17:41 it was averaging 12.5 MPG and with the low elevation kit 19:41 it's averaging 13 MPG. I run alot of high RPM powder riding probably 75% of the time. Also run premium fuel to this point. I will be trying regular milage check soon.

I have an FX and have been getting 20+ mpg. The only time I paid attention, we had gone 60 miles and I had only put 2.5 gallons in.
