What are you seeing for RPM?

what kind of timers do you use? I´m looking for a system to test my sled for dragrace

Remember, elevation will effect this entire clutching process, although it looks like most everyone is lower elevation.

I have my sled (MTX) set for 4000-6500 feet above sea level. When I am in this range I see about 9,000 RPM +/- When I was in Yellowstone last week, I saw about 8,800 +/-

The lower your elevation, on stock weights and rivets, the higher your revs will be. That is why mtn guys are cautious about over reving at sea level with a sled clutched for the mountains. There are areas where you start at 1500 feet above sea level and climb to 8,000 feet above sea level.

Just a thought on small variances on what people see for RPM's.

Thanks,

Steve

I see around 9100 rpm when I whack it at 40 mph.

6130 miles on nytro '07

The biggest difference I'm seeing with the extra tip weight is fuel mileage. I was running about the same as an RX1 that I run with. Now I'm seeing about a 10 to 15% improvement. Haven't really noticed any difference in performance.
