What do you think about the Wisconsin DNR?

DNR - (Dumb Naive Robbers) And they can't count either....... Deer count is so low that the people I know that went hunting, didn't even see a deer this year.
They pulled our group over by them at a gas station last year cause he thought we were a group of sleds that were not stopping for stop signs. The group I was with had their wives with the children, so we had to stop for them to catch up. Even with all the registrations on the sleds, we still had to show him our registration cards. I was kind of bucky towards him as he was just looking for people that were drinking. Then he shouldn't be at a gas station if he is looking for people that were drinking, right?

I got stop by the Dumn @#% WI DNR today because of to thing first thing was he said the trails were closed. Its sad when you are the one to tell the DNR the trails are open. And number 2 My sticker was coverd by snow, sorry the snow was deep I told him just out to piss poeple off.

WI DNR is a joke and are a bunch of dipshits. They should all be rounded up, tar and feather them like back in the old days.

I wish they would go back to drawing for a doe permit. That was back when there were a lot of deer.

Department of No Results!!!

I agree we need wildlife and recreational protection but come on their terrible.

I wish they had a hunt season for the DNR officers I'd get my hunting license tomorrow!!!

So you are advocating taking another humans life because you feel they are a department of no results?

Geezus, I know they messed up on deer count. But personally I wouldnt go as far as hunting them.

I must be lucky, I have never had a single run in with a DNR Officer on the trails - I did get stopped once crossing a street because I didnt have my stickers yet for my new sled. Should him the paperwork and we talked for a few minutes about things. No issues what so ever.

Well when the state gov.. has it frigers in all we do and they can't get it right they should be fired but seeing that they work for the state that will never happan. At less that is how it works were I work you can't do ur job you get shitcan.

Not sticking up for anyone or anything. Just saying killing someone may be a bit extreme.

also there are other options, others can apply and try to do things right and make it better. But the job isnt for everyone. At one point in my younger career I always thought a DNR Warden would be a great job. But then realized they were always working when I was hunting and soon figured out it wasnt worth it....LOL

Pay isnt that great, hours not that good, you are almost always dealing with someone with a firearm etc.

Did you know that they can give you an OWI ticket and it goes against your driving record now, so that means you'll lose your liscense. I don't think that's right, but its also not right to be driving drunk. But to lose your liscense is wrong cause you don't need one to drive a sled. Just my 2 cents.

Last year they were pulled over on a lake at 1am with the hood open on a sled (pretending to be broke down). When people would stop to help they would arrest them for drinking, give tickets, etc.

I believe in monitoring the safety of the trail systems but this was a little out of line for me.

We are big wisconsin supporters and travel there every year multiple times, but if they start making it not fun we'll have to skip it.
