6000-10,000 ft.......I run 18/43 gear, not fast but damn quick.... :-o

just curious what did the 18/43 do to the top speed? whiich i dont need to be seeing 90+ in the mountains and did it make alot more low end climbing grunt? and did you change out the chain? if so what link 70?let me know thank`s

As cool as boost is it really makes your riding buddies either jealous or so pissed off they don't want to ride with you anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I love being boosted, but there are days I think it'd be more fun to have a super light Apex and get the himark without boost.

I was disappointed my first year with the super went so horrible (had a bad blower), cause that was the only chance I had to ride Franklin Basin and Tony Grove with all this hp before I moved.

I would say it would run about 75-80 max, I will try atop end run today and let you know. Climbing grunt is really nice, major change with the correct clutch. Chain has to be a 70 link, you also have to trim the gasket with a 43 lower, no big deal, put on gear and chain and carefully use razor blade along edge of gear to cut gasket a bit, then trim on bench to clear. I think a 18/42 would go with 68 link. I have run a 17 top but you have to machine the nut, spacer and washer to fit and the gear is quite small, I worry about it lasting so went to the 18. Run redline high shock lightweight or Alisyn gear lube also. It did run really nice with the 17/43 combo, just to risky but I did have no sign of gear wear.

My sled is also about minus 95 pounds and I run the 174x2.5 camo ext track, climbs really good. Boost is next,it would be a hoot with 275 hp and 18/43.......lol...
