there was a bit of talk first when the 150F came out about adding a chip to gain a bit more horse power
has any company tested one yet or is this another great idea gone down the drain (i know these sleds are already performance tuned, unlike cars, but i'm sure an extra 5 Hp can be found on the WHOLE powerband if they look for it)

I would definitely like to see some plug-in horsepower gains. Do you remember what company was researching the idea?

Several companys have them done and there in final testing. There not going to be a chip though, everyone I have heard about is reprograming the stock CDI box. ===SRXSRULE===

There will be no reprogramming of stock ECU's. You will be able to add a controller to affect the fuel rate and fuel curve to see a gain.

Mr Ulmer. :D Will that be an interfaced controller with a keypad or something preprogrammed? The way I understand this EFI system, we have no mass air flow or O2 sensors. So based on that if you put on an ECP and an exhaust or otherwise increased airflow it would be helpful to have something to widen the fuel pulses. Further if you went forced induction something like this would be manditory. Do I have this correct??

Oh and you can change your sig to www.ulmerracing.com
and take out the [url and the http// and it will work and look better

Tork, it will be preprogrammed and work in conjunction with the stock ECU. A direct plug & play unit. It might be an option of also going to a website and simply downloading a "map" and uploading it to your controller as well for different exhaust/intake systems. Expect pricing to be around $300 as an early guess right now.
