Those high wattage bulbs can cause lots of damage. Ouch, I hope yours is ok. PIAA makes many bulbs that use power like stock bulbs, but throw out light like much higher watt bulbs.

well both wires are throwing 14 volts when engine is running, like i though. but i dont know why the dims would have burned out instantly

when you installed them, did your fingers touch the bulbs at any point? Some times when you install new bulbs and the oils from your fingers/hands come incontact with the bulbs they could blow. Had that happen to me with my car bulbs. Very random occurance, my buddy who is a mechanic said that could have been one of the reasons!

no, i wiped them with alchohal. no fingerprints.
If they both blew at the same time it must be a ground wire or fuse there is no way both bulbs would blow both lows at the same time. Check the harness for damage as well.

i put the chinese bulbs back in (100/95 watt) and they did not blow when i started the sled, is there a voltage regulator on these sleds? i looked at all fuses and ground blocks, checked ground lead from bulb to battery and its .03 ohms, so thats all good.
