I bought this used at a local snowmobile shop but it isn’t the same as a stock one. This one seem heavier and different bolt holes. Anyone see one like it? I need 3 new inserts, looks like it made out of something like sos pad

Not sure. Looks like it will bolt right up, I’ll check tomorrow. I’ll have to rig something up to take up the space in the holes until I find out what the hell this is.

Thats the original 2017 Stainless Steel shield. The updated one was the alum one we have now.
Supposedly they would break. Wished I still had mine intact.

Ah ha. My sled was a dealer demo with 700 miles when I bought so I never saw the original heat shield, it was changed before it got to me. The thing seems beefy. So I need the inserts that go in the holes, anyone know where to get any? I’m betting I’m out of luck.

The bolts are also longer along with having a shoulder on them, so you'll need those too if you don't have them. The thing your holding in you hand, call it a heat spacer for lack of better word, goes under the shield as I recall. Kind of a pain in the butt to deal with as I remember and install. Its been a while. Had a sled in here last year that didn't get updated and still had it on.
