I am new to this site and have enjoyed lurking about and taking in some good info. I have been a long time polaris rider, but traded mine in on a 2007 Apex GT. I only have 500 miles on the sled so far but love it. What I would like to see on this sled in addition to the great features it already has is the ability to monitor ambiant air temp and an onboard {possibly digital} compass. I bought the probe/temp hook up for my 2006 polaris and used it quite a bit to watch for over heating possibilities. The ability to watch coolant temp was a nice feature with my polaris also rather than an idiot light. The compass thing has always been a must and what a convience it would be to have it as part of the sled package. Jump in if you can think of other improvements on an already great sled. Maybe someone from Yamaha will get wind and make it happen for us!

Well if you don't want to use a GPS voila.

I have used an older version of that digital thermometer for years on my old SX. You may even be able to incorporate one of the sensors crudely for water temp.
I am thinking of a gps for next season. I think it would come in very handy. I would like to limit add-ons though. Thats why on-board options would be nice. Yeh, the barometor feature is not what I need at 650ft above sea level with a chance of a 500 ft change, maybe. I guess it would be good to know when to stop riding and go fishing!

I thought 2 years ago we'd have the temp & a year later have the compass!
Doo has it now so maybe we can be followers & Yamaha will do it now, instead of being leaders & doing it first!?
