anti freeze
Snowcat, do a search on my post, muskrat. I have had this frustrating bs going on for a while. I am at low boost, 7 pounds, and pumping the anti freeze out. I did have a leaking gasket, replaced by a shop, it leaked oil and anti at idle, it was a COMETIC. I had that one replaced and it worked for about 15 minutes then started pumping anti freeze again. I can't find a thing wrong with head or block so maybe it was an air bubble. I am going to put it together myself and use Yamaha gaskets and a special gun to fill system with anti freeze. It simultaneously removes air from the system. If I had to do it again I would spend the 50 bucks for a combustion gas tester. That would tell for sure if gases were getting into system. Anyway, I had one head bolt that was not torqued correctly. It was obvious and I hope that was the problem. It pays to do the work yourself.

snowcat 1,
I guess I am assuming that this is what is happening. I can ride around all day on low boost and not add antifreeze. The extra pressure on high boost is enough to blow by the headgasket and pressurize my water system until the cap lets it go out of my tank through the overflow line. All I know is it does not burn white out of the exhaust (unless it is and the oil from my #*$&@ bender turbo is masking it) (did I say that outloud) like it is eating antifreeze, but it sure fills the belly pan out of the overflow tube, so I am assuming that the system is being pressurized. Last year it took 16lbs to do it, now one pass on 12psi and the tank is empty.

DocDiggler,
We definately have a very similiar issue. After much research there is a possibility worth looking into. I don't know if this is what happened to me yet or not. When you get low on anti or blow some out, the system will probably suck air back in when it cools. Then you add anti freeze and off you go but you have an air bubble in that system that will expand and expand a lot. It may turn to steam and blow something. When at full throttle it will pump anti freeze out or blow another gasket like mine did. My air came from a cool down cart, the first time, and head gasket replacement the second time....I think. If I had to do it over I would check for compression gases in my anti freeze, the kit is like 50 bucks from Napa, it may save you a lot of work. Just an idea. Good luck and let me know if you can what you find out. I have compression gas tester, where are you at?
Oh ya, Eastwood sells an anti freeze refill kit/gun that takes the air out while filling system. I bought one and will be trying it this week. Good Luck

muskrat,
good suggestions. I will look into that. I just have a feeling that it needs a gasket. We retorqued it last year and it got better for awhile and then went downhill again.
Skydog,
Running 180-200 on cold days. hotter on warm days. Have actually had the sled over-ride shut it down trying to trail ride on a really warm day. I think my big issue there is we longtracked it and the snow is going out the back instead of underneath. I need a bigger snowflap.

You have a rear cooler added? If not i would do that frist! I know lots of guys on here had the same problem you are having and they added a rear cooler and they are good to go!

temp
I was seeing 185-200 then an air bubble went by and it went off scale. Adding that small rear changer too. I heard of someone that had to re-torque after a heat cycle and it worked , that was last year, must of been you. I had one bolt that I think wasn't torqued down correctly, I hope. I think you're right, if it was air I don't think you could drive around on low boost without a problem. Good luck

Jeff,
I wish you would have posted that 1 day sooner. Does your set use stock nuts??? What is your experience with doubling up the gaskets???
Thanks for your time, I am sure you are BUSY
