Why can't u rewire the 07 bars as sxray suggested. I did that to my 06 and it worked fine. I never run mine past 2.

As delivered in '06 the wiring harness caused the grip elements to be wired in series. The '07 update wires them in parallel.
All else being equal, the parallel circuit creates more current flow (more heat).
However the '07 grips have a higher resistance than the '06 grips which mostly negates the benefit of the '07 parallel circuit.
Therefore the '07 parallel circuit combined with the '06 lower resistance grips results in the highest possible current flow.
In fact this combination ('07 wiring & '06 grips) can cause so much current flow that you have to be careful to keep them turned down to avoid melting something.

So what is the resistance of the 07 grips. If I only run my grips on 2, the 07 grip resistance cannot be that high that if connected in parallel they will not create more heat if run on a higher setting. Anyone have the resistance of the 07 grips.

SELL THE HANDLEBARS WITH THE WARMERS. COST $29.00. THEY DO NOT SELL JUST THE HARNESS. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN PRETTY EASILY. WIRE THEM PARALLEL INSTEAD OF IN SERIES!!!!!!!
