They are used to put more pressure on the secondary clutch . The cam should have 4 different numbers 0-3-6-9 and in the inside where the other end of the spring hooks into are 3 different spots numbered 1-2-3. So you added the 2 number up 3-3= 6 then you add an 0 behind so you would get 60% most people if you are on the big side like me I have mine set at 6-1 = 70%.
