I see that you bender guy's are running a blend of race fuel and pump gas for more boost. What kind are you running? vp? if so c1-11 or c-12?
I run 10lbs with my lowered compression on 94 octane pump gas and was wondering if I used c1-11(107 octane) 50/50 with 94 what boost do you think i could run? I was thinking 13-14lb's
Also how do you tell if you need more octane for boost other then blowing your motor? Will my egt go really high or do I need to install another boost guage into my exhaust side? Any info would be great! thanks, ken

I know some one who is running 14 pounds of boost on three diferrent sleds. No extra head gasket. He is only running 30% race fuel.
If I go out to play on high boost (12lb) I use 10% Philips B33.

I have been running straight 110 standard race fuel from sunoco on 12 psi, probably a little overkill but I like to be safe, but absoultly necessary when using the NOS on 12 psi
I run 50/50 mix of premium and 110, with 10lbs of boost. However I have run 10lbs with almost straight premium and didn't have a problem. But after hearing of problems I figured the extra $10 or so per ride is well worth the peace of mind. My friends all run straight 110 just to be safe.
VP is also a great fuel, I just happened to have the Philips. Go to the manufactures web sites, they will have recomendations as to what applications each fuel is for.
One of my favorite fuels that is connonly avail. is 100LL aviation fuel. It works well at low temps, which some race fuels do not. Every local small air field should have 100LL it is used in all small aircraft. Do not buy 130 av. gas it has way too much lead content.
I have safely run short bursts (1000ft.) at 12lb. on straight pump premium.
