I just ran about 300 miles and changed the oil and filter. Can I run 4CW 5w30 Yamalube , then in 500 miles I will replace again the oil and filter and then run SYnth. 0w30 Yamalube.

The new 0-30 "SEMI" syn oil is what comes in all new 4-stroke yammies now.. The 5-30 is straight dino oil.. Won't hurt a thing.. I've used the 0-30 for 3 seasons now with good luck. MM.

I would highly recommend if your going to run it that you get it in writing from your dealer that its OK to run.

Here's the confusion.. The yammie 0-30 is "NOT" full syn. oil. You would need some other brand of syn oil to make the switch at 500.. By the way, I'm not sure switching to full syn at 500 miles is a good thing.. MM.

Not at 500 miles.....IN 500 miles, when I hit a total of 800 miles or so, I will switch to the 4-s 0w-30 Yamalube,until then I put in 4-CW 5w-30 yamalube.
