I installed a boost gauge on my hurricane 190kit. I love this turbo but was puzzled with the readings on the gauge. At idel, I am seeing a -5 to -6. At wide open throttle and 8900 rpm I am seeing +3. I was expecting to see 9lbs on the gauge but either that expectation is incorrect, I am connecting the gauge to the wrong location or something's wrong with my Turbo.

Thoughts?

190 shouldn't be more than 6lbs max and 8600rpm according to Dave. I just talked to him last week about my afr #'s

You will see 6 pounds under good conditions. Mostly 5. You are reading vacuum at idle. What brand gauge?

I bought a cheap dragon digital and I hooked it into the end of the 4 place t connector that my carbs are connected to. Most I saw was 3

Do you trust that gauge?????? I don't know if I would........

In Dave's instructions I believe it says do not go over 6. When I first installed my sled ran in the 4 range so I talked to Dave and we added a washer to the waste gate actuator. Mine now reads 5 almost all open throttle pulls with 10.5 AFR. I have AEM gauges. Call Dave and he'll walk you through any changes. Also could check for exhaust leaks.
