Well earlier today my sister borrowed my Nytro XTX 09'' and she got hooked real good on snowmobiling (she's a biker already), and now she is looking for something herself.
She is not that tall, only like 165cm and not heavy, and she would like a light machine thats easy to handle.

I was thinking about a Modern Phazer short track, since she is mostly on trails.
Well what should she know before deciding and what modell and mods would fit a beginer best?

If she enjoyed your sled look for one like it! If she is not needing all that a nytro is, I would look for a good deal on a vector as they seem to be trouble free and virtualy bullet proof.

If she's hooked on the acceleration of the nytro she would probably be disappointed by the phazer. Make sure to take a real test ride.

Depends on what you/she perceives as her riding style.

While the Vector is on the heavy side... the newer ones with power steering might be a good choice. A good long test drive of the different sleds would always be best if you can arrange one.

My wife rides a Phazer and loves it. I have an Apex with Power steering (New for me this season). I am thinking that after she tries my Apex she will soon be on a P/S Vector.

Im from Norway, and i think it would help a lot if you could post up a picture of your sister so we have a fair chance to answer your question.

That beeing said, get her a Nytro, or if you like wrenching - get her a phazer turbo.

Merry christmas from your western neighbor. ;)!

My wife loves her new 2013 Ski-Doo 600 Sport. I tried it as well and it is an impressive machine for the price. The ES model is a must for woman that are not all that strong. My wife cannot pull hers over so I have to start it for her. PM me if you want details of the Sport 600 as this is a Yamaha related site. However, if your looking at staying with a Yamaha, she should just get a Nytro if that's what she liked to begin with.

the new indy from polaris seem to be a good sled along with the shifts from polaris.

X2, although the Shift now is only a fan 550, if that matters?

I have heard good things about the new Indy, just not a lot of miles logged yet to give a definite yeah or neah on it though?
