What size studs for stock ripsaw?

ive seen it done two differend ways. one- like u said skip every other row and two- 2 on left side, next row 2 on right side so on and so on thats how we did my step dads and we used aluminum backers

In trying to find to studs it seems as if the manufacturers are not all on the same page when it comes to the measurements. I see 1.080 and 1.075 which is essentially the same but I also see brands listing 1.15", and Fat head lists 1.250" and 1.375" studs for a 1" track. Anyone have the specific dimensions of the stock track (lug height and overall thickness, I am not where my sled is stored right now to measure). Or is there a chart by brand showing which ones to get?

stud

studding your track opens up a can of worms with the warranty folks in Pleasant Prairie , if you have any issues with your track skidframe or tunnel while it is under warranty they could shoot your claim down , I do not use them for that reason.

Naa they wont get away with using that excuse. if your dealer doesnt fight it for you a few phone calls to yamaha and they'll cover what ever it is thats broke. they cant use studs as an excuse to not cover something.

rite. if the dealer thinks something should be warranteed he can make things happen.

I really pays to have a good relationship with the dealer. If you bring it in for a service at the beginning of each year, it usually goes a long way when it comes to them going up to bat for you. Also, if something breaks and they have checked the sled out for you then they sometimes feel partially responsible and may cut you a good deal on parts if the warranty is out.
