Hey guys i rolled my sled on the right side and it keeps dying on me, its died about 10 times on me and it seems to do it when i come to a stop or low rpms, dealer said it'll go away but if it happens again is there another solution. I havent rode it since last weekend so i hope its fine now but if not what do i do?
Thanks for any help

A rollover usually has oil from the vent tube run into your air box. Usually this just burns away, do you see any smoke?

My wife rolled hers over on the right side last weekend. It was on its side for no more then a minute or so. It took around an hour for the oil to settle back down before it would stay running. The oil indicator light kept flashing and would shut down. All seems fine now!

Don't roll it on it's left side......by the time you realize that is NOT steam coming from the engine you better be placing a call to your local fire department........go ahead, ask me how I know this.........:dunno:

I've got the roll over tether on mine. Had a similar incident last weekend and with the roll over valve it really cut down on the time needed to re prime the oil pump. It took two start ups to keep it running. With the roll over valve you can crank over engine with the tether pulled off to help prime the pump. With the tether off the valve is closed and apparently is suppose to prime the pump. My sled was upside-down for a few minutes. But I had the tether attached when I rolled it and that killed the engine. Absolutely no oil spilled out. I have the drain going to the belly pan and no sigh of oil.

No way...really??? Please tell!!!

Yes way.........unfortunately........backed over a 45 degree ice ridge right in front of house last spring and flipped it on it's left side........originally thought it was steam but then realized, too late, it wasn't.......oil hit hot headers and was flaming like H*ll........very thin layer of snow on top of ice so I was making no progress......had wife call fire dept. but then I got idea to use side panel like a scoop.......that got enough "snice" in there to put the flames out.......$3600 later, good as new.........(that's the Cliff Notes version......)

and after fire was out sled still ran enough to get it up into trailer..........

Holy crap buddah...that's crazy!! Mitch, where did you get your roll over valve from?

Sounds like you tweaked the controls a bit and need to loosen up the throttle cable a bit. TORS is probably cutting it off. Loosen the turnbuckle and shorten it just a bit.

How is that done?

I got it from OFT Racing but for some reason I don't see the roll over valve listed on the site. I see the tether but not the combo lit I purchased a year and a half ago.

My position is it's simply bad engineering from Yamaha/Arctic Cat........a guy shouldn't potentially lose his sled because of a simple upset......and he REALLY shouldn't have to go to the aftermarket and shell out $350+ to be "safe".........

Im not really interested in buying a kit, as it rarely happens, just looking for a solution if in case it does happen again.
